As a salmon angler tying Willie Gunn and Ally's Shrimp flies in Scotland, I needed a vice with strong jaw tension. The BLF E-Model holds heavy hooks rock-solid, and the 360 rotary motion saves so much time wrapping body tinsels.
Upgraded from an old Veniard fixed vice and the difference is night and day. The integrated line holder is brilliant when applying hackles, and the build quality rivals vices costing twice as much.
Exceptional value for money. Getting a true inline rotary vice with a full 6-piece tool kit under £105 is virtually unheard of in the UK. Jaws clamp micro #20 buzzers just as well as streamer hooks.
Solid, robust vice. The pedestal base is heavy enough to prevent sliding. My only minor point is adjusting the tension knob takes a couple of tries when switching between vastly different hook sizes, but once set it holds perfectly.
